Preparing For Our Presentation!

We're preparing for our presentation by creating a PowerPoint! We were each going to read different slides. Destiny is in charge of actually crating the PowerPoint. We just give her ideas on how to make the Power Point better for our actual presentation.

Catastrophes in Our World!

Haiti Earthquake


It's unbelievable how much damage the Haiti earthquake has caused. When I first heard about it I was shocked. I never knew how much damage an earthquake could do. I felt pretty bad for the Haitians. A lot of Haitians are homeless now because of this tragedy. Many people lost their families and homes. Itis a blessing how many people have come together to help out another country.





Mine Explosion



When I first heard about the miners tragedy I was shocked. I couldn't believe any of this really happened especially in our state. A lot of students from my school had families involved. It was a hard time for our school. After the memorial service things lightened up a little and I'm sure our school and other families will pull through.

Adding Sound!

Its important to have sound because it makes the game more interesting & lets you know where the buttons are!

The majority of games have sound! Games are boring without sound. If you go to a teen website with games they most likely have some type of sound in them.

I haven't really learned anything from the blogs I followed except this is a little frustrating and difficult.

Adding Interaction

So far the class has been good. It started out boring and confusing but I've got the hang of things.

Yes I like flash for the reason of being able to make a video game. Sometimes I get really frustrated and I don't even want to mess with flash. But at the end of the day I do what I have to do.

Our Game Topic-School Dropouts!

Drop out rates increase everyday! We decided to a quiz game. If you answer all the questions correctly you graduate. If not, you fail. The purpose of the game is to see if teens will make the right decisions to graduate.

Adding Animation!

The coolest thing about adding amimation is being able to make it move. When you first start out it seems plain and boring, but animation can make your game unique. You can make it move where ever you want!

There's not really a specific animation I admire. Actually, I admire it all!

Buttons!!

This video was very helpful. It was also confusing! Adding navigation is somewhat easy, but it's the scenes that make it difficult. Also, adding frames and keyframes on here is harder then I thought. Creating buttons is here is interesting. I like how when the mouse goes over them they change colors!

This Globaloria class is getting tougher by the day, but I'm going to try to stay in it.

Frames and Keyframes

You use frames and keyframes to create a animation movie.

Frames
When a frame changes from white to black it makes it a keyframe.

Keyframes
Changes the animation from it previous state.

I'm going to use frames and keyframes by timing then to make my animation move.

Importance of Paper Prototyping

Learning
-Learning about this was interesting in a way. I thought creating a video game was all about computers only, but you have to draw it out to.

Why I Liked It
-I liked learning about it because it makes creating this video a lot easier.

Why I Didn't Like It
-I don't really like drawing out stuff in the 1st place. I would like just to get to it, but that's only because I'm always in a rush. I need to learn how to take my time.

Mini Game

Wow! This was so confusing! This class is harder than I thought. Creating this game made me think twice about this class, but hopefully I'll pull through it. After awhile it gets easier, you just have to read everything very carefully.

The best part of this experience was actually finishing it and playing the game because it's interesting to know you actually created a game. The worst part was actually creating it! ha ha.

I don't really play games in my free time. Only when I'm super bored is when I do. The type of games I play is sport games or maybe restaurant games.

Another Students Blog :)

I liked Chris Knapp's blog about the "daily quote". It was a really interesting one. It makes me want to have a more positive attitude from now on :)

Choosing a Topic

No one has written about the topic I had chosen. Everyone is mainly writing about September 12 and the game about Haiti.

What Would You Do?

"What Would You Do?" is a game that describes the social relationships between people. I LOVE this game. It's kind of like how high school is. The game includes peer pressure and a lot of the emotion we see everyday at school. This game lets you decide on what the characters should do in their situations. This is a great way to prepare for situations that could happen to you in the future.

September 12-A Toy World

September 12

This game was interesting. You cannot win or lose. It was simply made to describe the aspects of war and terror and how violence only leads to more violence. By doing so you show buildings down which blew up and killed people in the town.

This isn't one of my favorite games, but it is a great way to show students about terrorism and give us an idea about what really happens when civilians are attacked.
